Call for Abstracts
Please read the following instructions carefully before preparing your abstract.
Abstracts Submission
All abstracts must be submitted before 30th June 2023, using only the Online Abstract Submission System and they cannot be modified after submission. Acknowledgment of the abstract submission will be sent to the Presenting Author’s email address immediately upon submission.
Every Abstract should be original and not have been published or presented at any other congress before Hydro 2023. Abstracts will be evaluated and scored for quality and originality.
Abstracts shall focus on the following topics:
- Coastal resilience
- Sustainable underwater infrastructures;
- Blue transition;
- Ocean exploration;
- Collaboration and partnerships;
- Quality;
- Enabling technologies;
- Ocean literacy
More details can be found in the scientific program.
Abstracts must be written in good English and in plain text only (no figures, tables, references). The abstract should be a summary of maximum 500 words of the proposed presentation or poster.
Abstracts must contain original data and meet international ethical standards.
Overt product advertising or company publicity within an Abstract (or the subsequent paper) is not allowed and will be cause for rejection. Every proposal about advertising can be shared at sponsorhydro2023@thetriumph.com.
Any type of Academy, Education, Industry, Association, company in the hydrospatial industry (operators, vendors, manufacturers, service providers, etc.) is invited to make a submission.
Each presenter can submit a maximum of 1 (one) abstract; it can be inserted in one of the sessions for an oral or poster presentation).
Oral abstract presentations should take at max 15 minutes.
About poster presentations, technical information about the print size or digital format will be published on Hydro 2023 website.
Acknowledgment of the abstract submission receipt will be sent to the corresponding author’s email address immediately upon submission. The presenting author will receive all correspondence regarding the abstract status, presentation type, date, and time via the email provided at the abstract submission.
Abstract review and Notification
Under the guidance of the Hydro2023 Organizing Committee and Technical Committee, all abstracts will be blind reviewed and accepted abstracts will be included in the Conference program.
The Organizing Committee and Technical Committee reserve the right to accept or reject an abstract, to select abstracts for oral or poster presentations, and to assign the presentation to a suitable session.
If the abstract is accepted, the presenting Author will be asked to register by 17th July 2023. Registering failure will result in an automatic exclusion from the Conference program.
If an Abstract is accepted for oral or poster presentation, the author will have the opportunity (not mandatory) to submit a paper (nominally three to four pages) by 15th September 2023.
Accepted papers will be published in the Hydro 2023 Conference proceedings; the transfer of copyright to the IFHS-IHS will be asked.
Selected papers will be published in The International Hydrographic Review (IHR, https://ihr.iho.int/), an international scientific journal that publishes open access peer-reviewed papers on all aspects of hydrography and related topics.
